Rear Vibration During Acceleration
SYMPTOM
When accelerating at any speed above 30 mph, a
vibration can be felt through the seats from the rear of
the car. If you lift your foot off the throttle or decelerate,
there is no vibration.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The CV joint housing is damaged.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace both inboard CV joints.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Refer to pages 16-3 through 16-16 of the
2000
2003 S2000 Service Manual to replace the
inboard CV joint.
2. Repeat the procedure for the opposite side of the
vehicle.
3. Test-drive the car to make sure the vibration felt
when accelerating above 30 mph is gone.
