Default From 375whp Turbo S2k.. Boom...to: built LS6 with a bunch of goodies !

Hey all,

Im sure a lot of you guys saw my posts in the FI section and some hated and some backed my decision,

so here is the build thread on it,

I had this:

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/977...#entry22053113

So it seized at idle.. just shut off and never moved again,

I decided after a large crazy debate to part the car out and start on something a little less normal,

I chose an Ls1/ T56 swap for this, my Power goals for this swap are at a nice even 400whp & 400 wtq with a very fat power curve all NA !!!!

enough with the chat on to the pics

here we go:

How she sat a mere day before she stopped:

Motor pulled:

Empty bay, this was decision time:

Made my mind up, rather quickly and the tear down begins:

so finally torn apart enough that I can actually start getting the chassis ready to accept the v8 motor and trans:

metal work started:

metal work:

Notching the trans tunnel to accept the T56 without issue:

THIS is where the car sits right now:

I have many packages on route to my house to kick this project into High gear !!

Something to slow this thing down just showed up, little test fit:

Definitely MORE to come.... as soon as my large package from summit racing shows up, and the swap kit gets here (both shipped this week) I can mock up the steering, then I can test fit the motor and weld in the motor plate brackets, and trans mount, at that point I get a final position on the motor so I know of clearances between the other components, fuel lines, brake lines, exhaust system....

thanks !

Should be a monster once your done. What do you plan on using the car for? Just a fun car for the street?

I would like to drive this car on the street, but also be able to take it to the track, going to run a set of drag radials on the street.

Should be fun no matter where you drive it. Good luck on the rest of the build!
