Default Custom Intake with Pics

Recently, I was interested in modifying my intake, but before I decided to go with something like K&N or Comptech, I decided to try to fabricate something on my own. Overall, the sounds are definitely better and the throttle response seems to be better, but I haven't been on a dyno to prove it.

Here's a list of things I did:

1. Replace air filter with K&N stock replacement.
2. Gutted intake box and opened up passenger side of box.
3. Fitted a 3" aeroduct from the passenger side fender opening to the intake box.
4. Fabricated a heat shield out of an aluminum sheet and wrapped it with 3M carbon fiber wrap. Had to make an opening for the hood prop.

I would bet that you actually increased the IAT's, unless you sealed up the opening that you cut for the hose.

To the fender opening. I believe that's where the Comptech intakes get their air if I'm not mistaken.

What's the best way to log the IATs?
