I made a new friend last night!

It is this kind of thing that makes me love driving the winding mountain roads more and more. Watching this guy running along in front of me was absolutely incredible. I have never seen one in the wild and I got to see one up close at full sprint while doing my favorite activity!

After coming around the left hand corner I had that moment of, "oh I might hit this!", then, "nope, should be ok", then, "holy crap that is a mountain lion!", then "oh my god that thing is huge, please don't hurt me mountain lion", then "THIS IS AWESOME, LOOK AT THAT AWESOME MOUNTAIN LION!!"

Re-up!

Bridgestone RE-11A freshly mounted this time around after a great stint with the RE-11. I will try to post up a nice thorough review of the RE-11 soon, but they were fantastic until the bitter end. Should be very interesting to try out the new compound. Always such a good feeling driving with brand new tires!

Looking forward to the review as well! It looks like you went with the 225/255 combo again which is great because you can directly compare to the RE-11 that just came off the car
Any plans to try the 215/245 combo next to see how it compares to the 225/255?

Yeah should be great to do a direct comparison. I maaay try 215/245 again with a "real" tire. I had the S-04 Potenza in 215/245 when I got the car but the overall grip level was dramatically lower, so it would be interesting to try those sizes again with a tire with a nice stiff sidewall and better compound. I am definitely a fan of 225/255 though. Any loss of feel I think is very minimal, and the additional grip all around (under cornering and braking) is excellent. Even once I start into suspension stuff, I will be sticking with a 225/255 staggered setup for quite awhile. I will definitely want to try 255 all round at some point but definitely not on stock suspension. I have been good at not hoarding parts so far so I am going to try to stick to that plan as long as I can and in the meantime do my best to embarrass people at the track with my stock S2000.
