mac boost solenoid question ?
whats up guys ,im running a greddy kit and using a mac boost solenoid as my boost control, i notice after longer drives i lose boost control and it runs stock boost . when this happens i notice the solenoid is extremely hot , burns your hand instantly if you touch it, is this normal ? should i try relocating the solenoid to a cooler area . is the solenoid over heating or getting to hot that it stops working ?

Yes its pretty close to the turbo, the fans are always throwing hot air at it, I have it right behind the horn where the strut mounts to, the cast iron log manifold , turbo n engine I think is making it heat up , along with the 85degree weather here in miami.

That's too far. Mine sits on the frame rail in the bay on the intake manifold side and its fine. U might have other issues. I'd move it to the drivers side. If problem continues something else is wrong.
