Sorry to drag this one up, but I noticed when refitting my exhaust after having the UK exhaust mod done, the internals of the cat move about, I don't hear it when driving or notice any difference, but probably something I should think about replacing sooner or later.

Couple of questions:

1) Does it increase noise? (a good thing)
2) Any weight savings?
3) Direct bolt-on to OEM backbox and manifold, same gaskets etc?
4) Is it a waste using it with the OEM system?

1. Virtually nothing with race cat, decat yes a slight rasp at around 4k rpm.
2. Yes I'd say 4-5KG IIRC.
3. Ask dixon, should do.
4. Yes more or less if its not tuned, depends if 1-2BHP if worth it to you.

Thanks for the info. I'm not opposed to a de-cat to be honest, probably offers better value for money and performance, offset against changing it out at mot time.

I'd recommend a decat over a race cat.

Also less resonance with a decat vs sports cat, if your tuning you can eek slightly more power with a decat vs sports car and have a smoother vtec transition when vtec is lowered.

The standard S2000 cat is pretty good, its metal matrix for a start

Decat is always better than a Race cat, is only good if you don't want the hassle to swap the CAT over for MOT

And yes Direct bolt on to replace the OEM CAT using OEM gasket and donut ring.

A while back I did a group buy on [url="http://www.berktechnology.com/product/honda-s2000-ap1ap2/high-flow-catshfcs/0009-635mm-high-flow-catalytic-converter"]Berk Hi-Flo CATs[/url. With the help of Lloyd Six we got a pretty good price on them and I have been using mine without any issues ever since.

Changing the CAT to pass the MOT was a PITA.
