Strange Hid Beam Cut Off
I just installed ap2 headlights and ordered some new Osram CBI bulbs to go along with it. I have this strange cutoff and dead spot in front as pictured below. Is this due to the lens on the headlights, the bulbs, or did I not install the bulbs correctly? I noted the orientation of how the oem bulbs were installed and installed the new bulbs the same way. The bulb is placed so that the blue "rod" portion also called return wire of the bulb is facing downward.
With the driver side covered (just passenger beam)

i got the same bulbs.....LOVE THEM!
but your problem appears to be like i first had,....not seated correctly, the bulbs have three plastic pieces that fit like a puzzle into the housing,you twist and lock them into place. they can fit the incorrect way which was my problem. Dont mess with your alignment of the bulb at all as that wouldnt fix anything

i got the same bulbs.....LOVE THEM!

Hopefully I can go through the engine bay. I really don't want to take out the bumper and headlights again to reseat the bulb, that was a pain.

I've tried that, doesn't work for me. My liner wont budge. I have no idea how people do it that way.
I'm more concerned with how the bulb is seated though.

Reseat the bulb, that's your issue GUARANTEED unless you damaged your bulb or projector during the install. When you push the metal clip over the bulb that holds it in place, it can sometimes become slightly unseated too. If the base of the bulb is not 100% flush with the projector you WILL see results like what you have going on here. Just take your bumper off and do it again. And this time, check your pattern before you put it back on.
