After 5 years of saying goodbye to my street car, I finally sucked it up and had Dan Lipperini at Racelabz in PA install a full cage in my 2003 AP1.

The cage took about 2 weeks. Dan did a fantastic job, and was extremely patient with me and my excessive attention to detail and paranoia with jumping off the deep end.

Its an 8 point cage, done out of 1.75” .095” DOM. Nascar bars in the drivers door, more or less straight bars in the passenger door. The OEM roof has been hollowed out to make more room and the bars are tucked up into the space where the roof structure used to be. There are continuation bars from the main tubes to the frame rails between the drivers/passengers legs.

Thanks. I haven't wired it yet. We'll figure it out together. Dan installed it where the left side air vent is/was.

Dan does kickass cage work. He did my custom rollbar (and built it up so that I can easily add the front portion of a cage) for far less money than most people would believe.
