Lots of companies are combining capacitors with batteries. A 1 MJ capacitor = 1300+ HP*secs. Basically 200 HP for 6.5 secs or 100 HP for 13 seconds. By using a capacitor you can significantly reduce the battery weight. Capacitors dont contain a lot of energy density, but they can provide better power. This is the path Toyota is going for their LeMans Hybrid racer.

I dont think Honda wants to use Batteries to run on electricity for miles, just acceleration. This will still increase MPG significantly. I bet they switch to majority capacitors for weight/performance reasons.

Each time I see the words "Noble M600" I am reminded just how badly I want one.

More crap going on up front than a riced out Civic. Again, not exactly timeless Pininfarina style beauty.

More Camaro in the rear haunches? A little RX8 action up front? And those wheels! Not feeling the love at this price level.

And now for some soothing sensual curves. Baby got back!

And something more sophisticated up front.

And if you want to compare concept to concept. This was the Crossfire that made the car show circuit. I really do like it better than the NSX.

Hope you know the NSX is well, a concept. Just sayin.

NSX Concept with the BEAK BLACKED OUT

Honestly, I don't care if this thing weighed 5,000lbs and only made 200hp. This car is sexy as hell.

I wish I could get on board with that opinion but the last 1/3rd of the car is simply a complete failure.

Their decision to keep the patented Acura reverse beak on the rear, so that it fits in with the other models in their lineup, was an error in judgment. The exhaust is hideous as well. I'm in love with the front of the car and the side profile, but the rear just kills the design.

LOL - you people are nuts. Styling is spot on and the car will do VERY well when it launches. I love it.

I agree. I'd be more worried about whether any will be available for ordering than whether they will sell. I'd guess that if it's anywhere between $100K and $200K it'll sell out a small production run pretty quickly.

And that's not just speculation - a Honda salesman gave me the scoop.
