P0410 secondary air injection system malfunction
just bought a 2001 formula red s2000 with cel light on. I took it to autozone and they said it was the P0410 secondary air injection system malfunction, Any ideas how to fix it?

Make sure it is not P0411, this is most common.
A P0410 could be a bad air pump or pump relay. P0410 is an electrical issue with the air pump, located under the drivers side headlight behind the bumper.

Thought so
Vac lines for the air pump are the most likely cause. They are on top of the engineeasy to get to. Routing and direction of the little white check valve must be exact. Check here.

yes it will go away after the monitor cycle is complete. Will take a cold morning start at the least.
Or you can pull the "back-up" fuse under the dash for 10 seconds.
