the interior light isn't coming on when I open the drivers door - but it does for the passenger so i am assuming it is a fault switch in the door

Any ideas how to remove this to free it up?

Been out and fiddled with mine(oo er missus) and it's a single phillips head screw holding the cover in place, could be just a little rust or dirt preventing the switch from working, a good wiggle often will get bit working again.

It's a plunger type switch near the fuel filler release, and as stipulated above, you remove it with a cross head screwdriver.

I'd make sure it is secured correctly before removing/cleaning.

thanks - i've been looking at the wrong bit

I thought the switch was in the A pillar, betwen the hinges - oops!
