Default Gone Boosted

First things first, thank you very much to Chris and Wade and the rest of the SOS team. Chris was very helpful with suggestions on what do with the motor and clutch. Wade, who came in on a weekend to make sure my car was ready and didn't have to deal with a rental for another 3 days after the piston debacle.

Thursday I FINALLY got my car back the other day from SOS, and the result were great. I had bought ryoga's turbo kit about a month ago and I had SOS build a 2.5l with a 9.2 CR, which produced ~400whp 310tq on 91 octane. I ended up with the twin carbon clutch that SOS has, most for ease of driving since this is still my only car. Chris was kind enough to show me some techniques to ensure long clutch life. My initial driving impressions of the clutch were nearly stock in terms of pedal effort. It grabs quite a bit harder with a much smaller slipping range but with a few more days I should be driving like normal. Then there's the boost, which kicks in at 5k. Holy crap. First time Chris went WOT I was like . Given the size of the turbo, I could go with a smaller more efficient turbo to get a wider powerband. Here's a few pics I took the other day.

I should be getting the actual dyno file from Chris next week so I'll post that once I've got it.

Congrats! Who did the tuning on the car and what psi? I'd like to see this thing on race gas or even E85.

Also, for Nick!

I believe UMS did the tuning, and I think it was somewhere in the 12 psi range. I'll know for sure once I've got the dyno info.

Yeah, once I'm on better terms with my wallet I might get an E85 tune.

Looks good. Very glad that it landed in some good hands, especially someone local.
