Trackforged Turbo Screen!
The Trackforged Turbo Screen!
This is the most elegant way to protect your turbo.

The mesh part is a sink strainer. That's the point, its industrial grade stainless steel and if you ever have an issue with it then you can pick one up at a local store. The shape helps repel any rocks or whatever that may be heading toward your turbo, also the dome shape doubles surface area, opposed to hose clamping a large mesh screen to the face of the turbo.

Its the plastic ring that's machined to snap onto any 4" inlet precision or garrett turbo, There is also a grove machined into the plastic that retains the hard metal ring of the screen to keep everything in check.

Not to mention a significant aesthetic improvement over a normal filter.
Price $40 +shiping
While this is designed mostly as a protective device that is pleasing to the eye, we have seen an average gain of 10hp when dyno tested back to back with a traditional filter. For those of you with your S2K on "The Jenny Craig treatment" it is an easy way to loose a couple more lbs over a traditional cone filter.

Our results varied based on engine temp, as expected. Here is the layout.
The car we used for testing has a build thread here: https://www.s2ki.com/...h2kbbap2-turbo/
We did all of the testing on our mustange dyno with the hood closed.
The car was set at 12lbs the whole time.
The pulls were direct back to back comparisons between the 5"X6" k&n filter (that comes with the kit as we sell it) and our new screen.
Keep in mind we had the hood closed and our fan was really just sending blowing air through the intercooler.
On the early pulls when everything was still cold we saw results as high as 20HP and 20TQ
Once we had done 15 or so pulls and things really got cooking (with the hood still closed, except for the time it took to switch back and forth filters) the results were closer to 10HP
On average throughout the testing we saw a little over 13HP
We believe that speed and free'er flowing air + our Turbo Screen is what had the most responsibility for raising the vehicles Trap speed in the 1/4 mile since he began using it.
We plan to do more testing soon. That said we believe this item produces measurable results that are repeatable.

I kinda feel like a lot of people have this idea that this is supposed to be a power mod. We designed this as an elegant way to protect your turbo. The fine mesh and the way its held in place are more for the safety of your turbo than more power. While the dome shape increases surface area by double it was chosen because we believe it to help direct debris away from the inlet.
I hope this clears things up a little more.
