Default How in the %^&& to remove Lower Control Arms?

Just to chime back in, if the bolts are corroded to the bushings you most likely will need to cut off the old bolts and replace all of the bolts and both control arms. I never found a work around.

So Im in the process of replacing my front sub-frame and steering rack after the Manhole incident.

Well I havent even gotten to the main 6 subframe bolts.

Removed:
Ground wire
Engine Mount Nuts
Rear Tie Bar(To make the assembly lighter, easier to remove)
Tie Rods from knuckles
I am down to the lower control arms. Removed the Rear Bolt entirely. Adjuster is still there and tight... not sure how to get it out???
Front Nuts are off, however the Bolt itself is solid as a rock. With a prybar I managed to make it move a TWITCH but its not showing any signes of removal.

Soaked everything in WD40 tonight (Had no PB Blaster) and going to make another run at it after work tomorrow.

How does everything come apart exactly? Do the front Bolts just slide out? Is the rear Adjuster a "sleeve" that slides out of the Bushing?

Pics would be great!

Spin with impact and use persuasion (bfh) at the same time.

Which one are you talking about? Im assuming your talking about the bolt that goes through horizontal (not the compliance bushing)? If so it should come out with persuasion and spinning.

Both the left side parts. Bolt is stuck in the lower left and the "Sleeve" is stuck in the bushing on the top right. Ill be taking a 1/2" Drive and breaker bar to them this weekend. Lets see hwo that goes.

I guess your is different. I just took my entire front end apart and put it back together with no issue (well except powerflex sent me a couple of the wrong bushings). Ill post picks later.

The collar that goes in the compliance bushing may be what your talkin about. Just twist it with a 21 or 22mm socket and impact. If its seized i recommend soaking it overnight with penetrating oil and then maybe heat and pry bar. The nut on the top doesnt come off. It just kinda goes into it. Anyway good luck.

Dont have any sockets above 19mm, and No impact.

Finnaly got the 17MM Sub to frame bolts broke loose, but no luck on the 4-19mm bolts. 3/8 Breaker was gonna snap, Borrowing a friends 1/2" Breaker this week. Ill see if he has 21-22mm sockets and take it to the collars

Yeah those bolts are all in pretty damn tight. Half inch breaker with a cheater pipe should do it.
