Default Glass softtop Really?

So I went to a shop in Santa Clara today to get a quote - glass window soft top for my 00 s2000....comes out $2200 + TAX including installation. It is aftermarket - dont even know what product he is going to use and it does not include frames/motor stuff. Really? Seriously? How come it is more then a dealer? Any place that does soft top installation that you guys know of?

You can DIY and save a ton.

Theres a wbsite i think its called softopguys.com. They only charge just under $600 to purchase the one with glass. But either you DIY or find a place that will do it for cheaper price.

Would love to see pics of these aftermarket replacement tops. Does anyone have experience on which one is rated as the best quality/fitment?

I've done a few soft tops with the Robbins and OEM ~ both are good quality but plan to pay a chunk for labor, this is NOT an easy install.

it was near Lawrence/Elcamino. Ridiculously over priced. I will probably go with Robbin or EZ. I"ll check out hans auto sometime next week. thanks for the info.
