Default Tuning and gear install recommendations?

Hi all,

I'm still working on getting involved in the S2k community in CNY and am having a heck of a time finding any shops in the upstate area that are a sound recommendation for tuning (Flashpro shortly) and installing a final gear set. I know the latter I could likely have Honda install, but I'm still wondering if anybody has any rec's about shops that could be reasonably reached from the Syracuse area? Or are there people that tend to get together and do these things themselves? Any input you've got would be welcome!

No one has any recommendations for SYR_S2k??

I know we dont really have a presence in Syracuse to make recommendation, but nothing in the Albany or Rochester areas?

SYR_S2k - Send a PM to Ridgercr. He may be able to point you to good tuning shops in the Albany area. I have no experience with any such modifications nor do I have any experience with shops as my car is bone stock.

Also, send a PM to Gilly_S2KFreak. He grew up in Syracuse and should be able to recommend a shop to you.

Thanks guys. I'm struggling at the moment just to find a place to do a decent alignment on a lowered car! Syr FTL at the moment.

Hey,

I'll do some searching tonight. I know there's a good place for alignment, the performance shop didn't have a chance to look at yet. Give me a day or two and i'll get back to you

Okay so i did a quick search on some other forums (VW, Corvette, Evo) and found this shop in Jamesville:

http://www.interpreptuning.com/

I haven't had a chance to look into them yet, but if you go to their customer page there is an RSX there as well as a bunch of formula cars. It might be worth checking them out.

I'll keep looking tonight for you though.

they are more hot rods, but may be able to help you out or recommend another shop. they are in central square.

Thanks Gilly. These guys do seem interesting to say the least. Perhaps masters of non-specialization! I'll be calling around this weekend and early next week. I'll also be reporting back on any work, quality, etc. so those in the CNY area have a heads-up.
