- 2004 AP2
- Comptech SC Kit with Aftercooler. 7 PSI however it is NOT Verified. Should know by this weekend at latest. It WAS verified that it is a 4" pulley from top of the rib where belt rests.
- BERK Test Pipe & HKS Hi-Power exhaust

Maybe it's my voltage on Walbro? Meh, cant run her hard until this is resolved. Sucks!

Any other suggestions guys?

Your right at the limit of either the injector pressure 100psi+ or the more likely fuel pump, it cant supply what you need at the pressure your asking for. A better 340 pump or the relay/rewire to add V to your current pump are your options. The reason why it ran like poop/erratic when you bottomed out your fpr is because you were running too high fuel pressure for your injectors to atomize properly, one other cause is the spring in the fpr was bottomed out and forcing the diaphragm plate inside to become unseated or deformed causing erratic fuel delivery under the range of pressures. Bottom line is your runnign out of fuel. So I recommend you dial the fpr back to where is was before you started seeing no change up top and perform one of the fuel pump modifications. Or get a meth injection kit

haha, kk sounds good. So 13.1 is real bad and I need to stay out of VTEC?

I just started driving mine today and am at 12-12.5 after vtec.

This is 7-8 lbs with an intercooler. I do have the sparkplugs and my exhaust is stock.

I think that's what might be your problem. I had another friend that had put his back because his test pipe was leaning everything out.

Bigger TB, different exhaust, weather/temp etc all change fuel requirements, this is why one guy can get away with running 7psi and another guy cant quite.

Honestly 13.1 afr isn't that bad to give it a squirt now and then, Ive played with leaner, but sustained high revs under load; aka racing or hway runs will not be recommended, its this type of condition that will build excessive heat and can cause pistons to melt, broken ring lands or detonation. one pull through the lower gears is alright, these motors can take a lot actually. But your better off getting this corrected of course, its not worth gambling. If your running 13 in the summer heat, you will be at 14 in the winter months.

Yeah I completely agree. I even left the car at home today and drove the beater. Wont really drive it far until I get the boost gauge in and resolve lean condition. Ill drive within my homes vicinity but no long trips such as to work for now.

SOOO.... I was thinking of picking up New FB340 Intank Fuel Pump Instead of rewiring my system to provide more voltage. Does that make sense or am I just wasting $ and time and should do the rewire?

God, I wish I had known my Walbro was gonna be this loud. It's actually twice as loud as when I had it in my Mitsubishi.

How hard is the rewire?

Yeah it is obnoxious, maybe mine is worst than others but I am buying full blown Fuel Pump and hope that resolves my lean condition in upper RPM. Not to mention this noise has got to go. It changes pitch, and whines, cries, I wonder if its about to die.

Rewire is not hard btw. I just don't want to mess with stock wiring and rather just get another fuel pump.

^yea, hopefully just changing out the pump alone will richen things up.

If it does, then I'm switching mine out. Right now I'm on the fence. I hate messing with that rear tray so much.

Alright well another frustrating day. Installed the new pump and with 1 turn left on FPR I was able to yield 12.4 AFR by doing a few 2nd gear pulls, but then I'd see 13.1 right around 8k rpm. So I was concerned and wanted to make a video.

As my buddy and I got to the highway the temp was in mid 60s and I did a few more pulls hoping to show you what I mean.... Well by then my AFR was 14.7 now in vtec WTF? is FPR not working? The after-cooler was cold to the touch as I pulled over, did the temps from highway speeds bump my AFR so high?

SO ANNOYING. Felt slower too, not sure if AFR related.
