Tein Monoflex review
Had these on for about a week and just got an alignment so I want to share my opinions:
Installation: I have to say that the install is straight forward but the instructions manual is very unclear as to how to set up the suspension.
Ride Quality: The ride is very good at any setting below 10 (16being the stiffest) as long as the roads are decent. It is noticably better than stock provided there arent big bumps to deal with because of the shorter stroke of the monoflex. I did find myself riding on the bumpstops on potholes that i couldnt avoid but obviously street/track setups are not ideal for really bumpy roads like the ones around my current house. on the freeway it is superb.
Street Performance: This really depends on the setting. on the stiffest settings you fly over bumps and have no control and if you go to soft the car is very sluggish and slow to respond. i felt that even the ride is worse at the softest settings as the car feels like it oscillates. At the sweetspot thoough (around 8/8 - 10/10) the car behaves beautifully. It is absolutely planted and very well behaved. I also had a rear bsk installed when i did the alignment and the car is very predictable now. at the limit it reacts much faster so you do have to be on top of things but it doesnt give in a nasty way.
Track Performance: NA at the time
Conclusion: If I had to do it over again I would not think twice. I know a lot of people like the KW v3s and so do I as I have driven and rode in s2000s with v3's but the only thing thats bothersome is the lack of ride height adjustability without affecting the preload and no top hats at a greater price. It is a really good coilover system for the money.

i think its fine dude. they are springs. if they sag (permanently change shape even when unloaded) withinin a dew days if driving it means they suck. Springs should always return to their original shape if aren't loaded past the yielding point of the metal (Hooke's Law). They can fatigue of course over time and sag but you dont want them to. A quick drive around should "settle" the suspension. This is what my engineering intuition tells me.
actually this calls for a poll thread. hehehe
