think i toasted my clutch....
background: 2000 s2k, 116kmi, basically all stock (aem v2 intake and q300 exhaust)
So i'm driving home from dinner tonight, get on the onramp and hit the pedal it it fights right up to the rev limiter putting zero power to the ground. I limp it all the way home at about 30mph putting barely any power to the ground, basically feels like the car is just coasting. You can hit the gas and watch the rpm climb but it's still standing still (or barely moving really). No check engine lights, plug in the code reader and no pending codes either. I think maybe it could possible be an ecu thing and disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes, hook it back up an nothing changes. I'm thinking clutch, anyone have any input here?
Now if it is the clutch, what should i upgrade to? I plan on putting more power to the ground and will most likely go FI anyways, so here is a good time to upgrade the clutch i figure.

Sounds like clutch. A good combo is the oem clutch disc and ACT HD pressure plate. That's what I have and putting down just over 400whp with no slipping at all!

oem clutch disk ~$100
ACT HD pressure plate ~$400
Sound about right, moddiction? Any particular year clutch disk better then the rest for my 2000? quick search brings up a tsb for the 00, but they should all be fixed by now.

Yeah think all the oem clutch discs sold now are buzz free.
Yeah think that's about the right price. Need to buy the oem throw out and pilot bearing as well which adds like another $100 to the price I think. Great combo! Feels exactly the same as my old oem setup. My setup was stiff compared to some others though so might be a little heavier clutch feel than stock.

yup, well atleast this will help me prepare for FI
Is it even worth replacing the flywheel with a lightweight while i'm there?

Oh forgot about that. Should resurface the oem flywheel while in there. Personally I don't think it's worth it to replace the AP1 flywheel but thats just personal preference. If you had an AP2 would definitely be worth it to get an AP1 flywheel while in there.
