Not normal. That's less than 10mpg. Worst I've seen on my car is 17mpg city driving at moderate speed AC on, and that was because my tires were low on air.

I get 6 to 8-mpg on the track
So if you are getting 10, and you are not pounding on it hard, you do indeed have a problem

Either your fuel gauge is reading wrong or you have a leak.

How does it run? Any indication of an engine problem?

Sometimes my fuel gauge reads very low right after I start the car, then a few minutes later it shows the correct reading. And if you're stopped on a hill the fuel gauge will read wrong.

Especially people that get that higher gas mileage. This might help people select tires in the future.

I am running BFGoodrich g-Force Sport 225/50R16 in the front and Fuzion ZRi 245/45ZR16 in the back.

I seem to get about 24 MPG combined city and highway but I'm not 100% on this yet since I only got through a few tanks so far.

The tires came with the car that way and they are probably not the best for fuel consumption. They have quite a bit of thread left so I wonder if it's worth changing tires just for potential better gas mileage. If I replace them I would probably bring the fronts to the back and use the recommended size for the front tires.

Tire selection can not explain the 6-7MPG the OP is experiencing. For a typical mileage thread it is relevant, but not at all in this one.
