Sorry Gene, but you're lucky to get me to type this message. Most of the crew here just finished dinner at the TGIF connected to the hotel. Everyone is having a jolly good time. As for Jerry and I, our flight out of Orange County was delayed about 2 hours. The good thing/bad thing was, our connecting flight out of Houston was delayed 6 hours. We got into Charlotte at 3 am instead of 9 PM. Had to wait until 4:30am for the car rental agency to open and finally got in to our hotel at 5:30 am. But of course, our luggage was lost. We went back to the airport and retrieved our luggage at 1:20pm today. Glad to be here! Jim had a pulley problem on his way from Houston and was delayed himself but Jerry and I were driving right by the Asheville Airport when Chris flew in so we picked her up on our way to the hotel. Various people keep telling us that this is going to be an awesome drive with gorgeous scenery. We are that we don't get too much R A I N. That is all for tonight.

Gene, you know how it is when you're at a meet, having fun and don't have time to post? That's the situation here. We had a wonderful drive yesterday on very curvy and beautiful roads. I say the route was the best ever at a Vintage meet. I road with Paul/s-cargo, and will post a few photos, later, that I took before or after he had to stop three times for me to . He drove so smoothly and fast in his supercharger and exhausted 2001 Silverstone. I was lucky to get a ride with him so I didn't have to follow in my Impala rental. Jerry drove Granny in her car and they now have a new special relationship. Lunch, I'm told, was delicious although I didn't eat for fear of giving it to the roadside. We had an intimate, close BBQ dinner last night that Ken arranged, here at the hotel. It's been a wonderful meet and I think everyone has had a great time. Time to check out and head to Columbia, SC. Thanks so much to Ken and Yoon-He for putting this major work of effort and love together for us all. Meet some really great new people too who I hope keep coming back for more vintage meets.

Patty, sometimes it helps if you eat. On a boat in rough waters you should never stop eating. maybe your lack of sleep added to the problem.
Are/were you in Ashville NC? Went there a few years ago, beautiful place. Looked at a small place to see if we wanted to buy it, called the Biltmore, or something like that, but it was too old.
