2 month old TCT playing up
I bought a brand new TCT from a Honda dealer in the USA.
Its been in a few weeks, and already im starting to hear ticking.
Im starting to wonder if there is not something else contributing to it, is my timing chain worn too much, the guides ??
I've just hit 110000 miles.
If the ticking comes back again, im getting out the petrol and matches !!

It's the guides and the chain I think. I've bought new bits from the USA and the car is going to have them all replaced on Monday - It's a long and expensive job I'm afraid.
I'll let you know how things go.

If the ticking came back so soon after the new TCT installation most probably you have worn guides and chain.

Have since learned thats more than likely the issue.
I can get the parts at a decent price, but labour to get it done is crazy.
On a scale of 1 - 10, how big of a DIY would it be to do myself ?

I'd PMed Jon with this info
http://www.cflhonda.com/splash/index.cfm?siteid=215502
14510-PCX-005 TENSIONER, CAM CHAIN
14520-PCX-003 ARM, CAM CHAIN TENSIONER
14530-PCX-004 GUIDE, CAM CHAIN
14401-PCX-004 TIMING CHAIN
UK Parts cost £572
US Parts cost including shipping £204 (I've yet to receive any VAT/duty bill from Fedex) but even with those included, total cost would be around £256.
