Berk Headers - ISSUE
Just wondering who all has this header, and if you do, how well is your coat holding up? also it seems like my header is leaking somewhere, judging by the ticking and such. My mechanic agrees, but i havent had a chance to take the header off and try the oem one quite yet to see if it fixes it.
Just to point out -
I checked bolts twice a week for the first few weeks to make sure they didnt expand and loosen.
I kept up with all maintenance meticulously.
I checked exhaust once a month during various jobs/maintenance after the first few weeks.
Ticking started about 3 months ago, all bolts were still tight, no visible leaks.
I have had the exhaust roughly 9 months or so.

Heat coating is holding up very well. Bought mine used and 10-15 k later its good. I do have the tick though. Stethoscope says runner 4 but I can't find the issue.

Importedpower - Just like I said over email if you have a header that is less than a year old that is flaking we will recoat or replace your header for you at no charge. We will always take care of our customers and we will not leave you hanging! I've had to recoat just a few headers over the years and overall the thermal barrier coatings we use have been fantastic. The thermal barrier coating is an extremely tough coating that is normally used as the crown coating on your piston tops. It is the same coating that you would get if you were to purchase OEM ceramic coated pistons from JE Pistons or CP Pistons.
