Honda has the MTF 3 for some time now. Here is a photo from a recent MTF 3 Group Buy (25 liters) we did locally, in Greece. No worries using that one.

I'm done using Hondas crappy transaxle fluid in my Aisin-made transmission. I bought 2 quarts of GM Synchromesh FM for $38 and I expect an improvement over Honda OEM.

Is the Honda OEM fluid really that bad?

It's probably more eco-friendly, performance the same or improved cold-weather performance.

I changed the fluid at 30k to GM Synchromesh Friction Modified and honestly it was crisp at first (just like any fluid change would feel)...no complaints about it but I just bough some Honda MTF and will be doing a change soon as I have just gone past 60k

My guess is they're really all the same...are the chemicals all the same and the viscosity, ete etc...probably not, but does it matter...I really don't feel that it does
