Default finally got my S2000 to rotate.... and rotate...

Punched the nose of my S2000 into a dirt embankment yesterday. Too much balls and not enough talent. I'm fine overall - back is a bit sore and neck slightly stiff, plus a bit of road rash from the airbag but otherwise okay. The skid marks from the power slide went back around the corner about 100 yards! Pics of the damge to follow eventually. Not sure if it is totaled, but I think it is fixable. No damage behind front fenders, subframe doesn't appear to have been pushed back any farther than the front axle line, doors and top still work perfectly. No fluid loss. I could move the car and drove it onto the flatbed (tow guy couldn't fit into my seat), but the drivers front wheel is smashed into the fender.

My sunglasses ended up on the hood of the car!

Usually when airbags deploy it's an automatic total because they're ridiculously expensive to replace.

Glad you're OK

I assume the windshield broke or the top was down? interesting how the sunglasses ended up on the hood

You were the first S that waved to us when I bought the car. VSA was off?

VSA was off, top was down. No damage to windshield, and top still lines up with the windshield frame. Only driver's side bag went off. Car goes to shop today, so we'll see what they say.

Bummer about your car, but excellent that you're doing okay. Fingers crossed for what you hear back from the shop today.

Yeah, thomsbrain, I'm pretty sure you're the only S who has spotted me twice -- once on 880 and once on 9
