I have a Pioneer DEH6100BT fitted to my S with the same Autoleads adaptors and all the dash controls work except for the mute button.
Cant remember having issues with it, more or less plug and play.....
Maybe a pic of how you have them connected up at the back might help

Thanks for all your replys and i mite have to visit you p800 if i cant get it going thanks. one of the lads on the forum fitted this a while back and i wanted to do it but only have just got round to it here is a link https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=757176 . i have got the exact same equipment as he suggested the head unit is working fine but with no dash controls i can only see one way that they can connect. i have since read that he cannot find the mute conection which i am not to bothered about but really want the dash controls to work i will add some pics tommorow of how i have it connected.
I have the same items as johnrpm has got.

Can't help with your question but good to hear everything else works now, seems like a bad connection before.

I can't get my Alpine CDE BT103 mute to work with the Autoleads adapter, others in this thread

have reported this is to do with Bluetooth capability.

i have a pioneer with the same autoleads interface.
my first interface didnt mute, but worked sweet... for a week, then pressing the ch button once to go forward tracks always took you back to the beginning of the track, so out it came.
lead 2, mutes, but still has no track advance function.
my solution is to change to kenwood, its not really annoying as i rarely skip tracks anyway but i would rather it worked as intended.
strange how 2 identical interfaces both have the same glitch and one mutes also?!
oh and the really odd bit.... if i remove my radio from the dash and place it on my knee i can skip forward, back, mute, everything...
