The poll only allows 10 options so apologies if i haven't covered all the tyre brands in absolute detail. or that all tyres aren't represented.

The reason i did this is that there are lots of tyre threads, all with good information but nothing comprehensive; its very difficult to find out what everyone uses and what their thoughts are on the tyres they have run. I've been researching tyres for the last few weeks trying to find what will suit me best. so hope this will help others.

so the idea is you vote for your favourite tyre, and then in the comments section put some details on what your running and your opinions.

if you've had the car for a while and run several different tyres then your repsonses are very important as you'll have experienced a variety of tyres.

please try and use this format and try and keep it informative.

I'll get us started;

TYRES FITTED: Goodyear eagle F1 GSD3's
WHEEL SIZE: OEM 16's
TYRE SIZES: 225/50/16 & 205/55/16

OPINION: these have been on the car since i bought it and are due for replacement as they are right on the wear markers, but have been quiet impressed how well they have held up even when this low. i do find the side walls a little soft, but not to the point where it is having a negative effect on the performance of the handling. they can feel a little light at motorway speeds. but the grip has been very good wet or dry; and have not taken away any driving confidence.

OPINION: undercarrage, good allrounders firm and positive cornering and I've never felt the ABS come on even with very heavy breaking, nice firm sidewalls, pretty good in the wet, just waiting for the winter to see how they go. Last tyres were some mitchelins that came with the car and tried to kill me in the snow.

AE of the 2 tyres you had fitted which did you prefer or were they pretty close. especially as these are the 2 tyres alot seem to fit on here.

The only tyre I've ever had that I thought was better was the Bridgestone RE01

But I haven't tried that many.

Nut was saying he was very pleased with his Yoko AD08's yesterday

I think you'll find it won't be very accurate due to alot of people will stick to Bridgestone therefore voting for them. I'd say the PS3's are the best tyre listed.

I've got Falken 452's and for the price £76 for a 245/40/17 there isn't anything better out there. They run a stiff sidewall like the bridgestone, and the tyre gives great feedback.
