Default Fitting an AP1 Comptech exhaust onto AP2

From what I hear (from s2ki and google searches), the only issues are that:

1. the tips are smaller than the ap2 version of the comptech (just cosmetics, so thats ok)

2. the rubber hanging pieces from the AP1 car must be used to mount the exhaust to the ap2 car. This is the link I was referred to (part #7)

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/j...y5=EXHAUST+PIPE

3. there might be problems with certain bolts being fused on, and needing to be cut off (does anyone know which bolts these are)?

**** Can anyone verify the parts needed for the install? The exhaust is supposed to come with all the piping/mufflers/gaskets.

Maybe I can make the question easier:

Does anyone have tips for installing an AP1 comptech exhaust on a AP2 car (2004)?

just change to ap1 hangers. that should be all you need.

OK, this is seeming to be the consensus opinion...

HTG stated somewhere: "The AP1 Comptech and the AP2 comptech are the same except for the rear hanger. The AP2 has two hooks and the AP1 has 1. If you are doing a swap from car to car just swap the rubber cushions too."

We had our Comptech on our AP1.

I just moved it to our CR (AP2, obviously). You don't need anything special. You can use the AP2 hangers. You just use the center and one of the lower holes. It fits fine.

Well that sounds pretty definitive! I guess different people are mounting it different ways?

The exhaust is coming with a used (12,000 miles) comptech gasket. Would it be recommended to use a new gasket when I do my install?

Probably doesn't matter if the gasket is bent or horribly rusted. I've reused the gasket multiple times when switching from car to car and from exhaust to exhaust. I can take a quick picture of our Comptech on our AP2 if you'd like.

Please take/post a pic of the Ap1 Comptech on a AP2. Since the 3.5" vs. 4" tips are the only real difference other than hangers, I'd like to see what I'm going to have in a few days...
