I feel like this problem could be easily solved. All that has to happen is some type of pop-up notification when you go to hit the reply button that says `this thread is more than x years old, are you sure you want to post a response?` or something like that? most people dont mean to bump threads this old, they just forget that they did a search that lead them to that thread and then they want to chime in... forgetting how old it is...
why dont we fix this?

That's an Excedy OE replacement clutch, just get the real thing from Hondapartsnetwork.com or majestic.

Re-stating that the exedy "oem" clutch is junk definitely won't hurt. Expect it to fall apart like clockwork at 20k, and buzz right from the start. Guaranteed.

I have an exedy....second what billman says...clutch buzz from the start.
A lot guides recommend buying the bearing separate from the exedy kit...supposedly its not the OEM equivalent unlike the rest of the kit and prone to failure....get the OEM bearing from Honda(cheap).
If you go exedy do that. I bought a lighter ACT flywheel.....stick works great aside from minor clutch buzz....not sure about long term reliability.
BTW, the clutch job on this car is a super PITA without a lift....drop the extra cash to get a nice clutch kit because you don't wanna go under again anytime soon.
Exedy works fine for me and shifts like a boss but why risk it? Get the OEM or something better....
BTW, lighter flywheels are nice but not too light. I went a few lb less than the normal AP1 and didn't notice a crazy difference but shifting was more fun IMO.
