Phil, your photos are great! Don't listen to Lainey!
I have no pictures to post in this thread. However a snail (shell and all) has taken up residence on our deck. Maybe I'll catch him in "action" later and share that pic. Talk about exciting....

Jerry and I needed a city break so we went to my place at Kennedy Meadows on Saturday, for two nights. Ahhh. Clean, dry air and total peace and quiet.
^Sunset from the trailer deck on Sunday, June 27th, at 6,000 feet.
On Sunday afternoon, we drove up Sherman Pass and took in the view, before heading over to Bonita Meadow (8,400 feet), on the way back, to check out the status of wildflowers. We were a little early for the flower display but the meadow was green. The mosquitoes were out too. Even though it was nice and in the low 70s at the higher elevation of the meadow, we were happy to get back to the trailer, 23 miles away, and at 6,000 feet, in the 80s, since it's so much dryer and there are no mosquitoes there.
^This is the sign in the photo below, in front of my RAV4.
^The parking lot is at 9,100 feet according to my GPS.
^There's the peak of Mount Whitney on the left. Highest mountain in the contiguous USA, and 40 miles away.
^There were still snow drifts up here above 9,000 feet.
^Bonita Meadow at 8,400 feet elevation.
