Default Snap oversteer in low speed corners

I've noticed my stock 06 AP2 gets quite tail-happy accelerating out of low speed corners in 1st or 2nd. Feels like in such corners there's a sudden loading of the rear suspension that overcomes the traction, with the oem RE050 staggered tires.

Just wondering whether others have experienced this and maybe found ways to tame it a little. Toe-in? More stagger as in the CR with 255's on the rear? Sway bars? I've learned to be cautious with this, but have been wondering how others have dealt with it.

You still have the factory tires? How many miles?
When was your last alignment?

If you think your ap2 has snap oversteer, go and drive an ap1. As far as reducing it you can put on wider wheels with some sticky tires.

Front swaybar + autocross.

You have the least tailhappy S2000 model. Driver input is invariably a factor.

Did this problem always existed, or just started happening lately..?
I would suggest you, check your alingment settings.
Because it happens in low speed corners, it sounds like you need more toe in.. or you already use a big enough rear camber angle so the tire contacts with the road only with it's inner side..and it also might be worn (have you checked that..?because we do not usually check the inner side for wear)

Otherwise, if you have too many miles, you may need a new suspension kit.

There are a few factors here:

Weather temperature
Life of tire
throttle input

If it's cold out, you're tires can't do a good job
If you have low rubber, it can't do a good job either
if you give throttle sharply in 1-2 gear through a corner, you will go sideways

Check tire pressure, and camber wear as well

Go read this link. I read it yesterday and it answered a lot of my questions. Section 2.1.2 on sway bars should be excellent reading for you.

I have to disagree. I found my '00 to be very forgiving during the couple of track days I was fortunate to attend. I'd screw up, and then be amazed at how mild the car's reaction to my ham-fistedness actually was. YMMV.
