Rio Right color code?

Rio Right color code?
Ok I ordered a AP2 Rio yellow color code. I specifcly stated RIO Yellow for a 05 from the honda dealer and it came in today; however.
When I painted the chips, the color seems way off. The bottle says
08703-Y65PAH-PN
It also says New Indy Yellow Pearl on the front of the touch up paint, bottle.
Can anyone confirm this is the RIO Yellow?
It looks a lot darker than my 05 Rio.... very confused... I saw the code on my car and it says Y65P.
Please help!
Thanks

I had the same problem when i bought a bit of spa yellow touch up paint; it was a lot darker than the color of my car.
the problem with the pearl colors is that it really depends on how its applied. i noticed that depending on how i brushed it on and which direction, it looked different. or maybe it was just me.

most if not all honda paint codes also need the vin number as there are modifier numbers for the paint contained in there.
For each honda color they may be 5 or more different builds for that color depending on the time it was made...the paint code and the VIN correspond to a specific batch for the paint. I do not know the speific numbers or process for this "custom" mix but I have heard it decribed to me several times.
Also you are dealing with a three stage metallic and pearl paint and the matching process is going to be hard regardless of how many modifiers you have on hand.
My suggestion is to remove the cas door and give that to the painter and have them do several swatches to try their best at matching. Any paint shop worth their salt will go through this process to give you the best possible outcome, IMHO
Hope this helps a little

Well... I just need a bottle as a touch up and wow... I guess paint code and name code (rio) doesn't help much.
I will try going back to honda dealer and provide vin # and paint code. Hopefully they will let me get an exchange for a 'hopefully' more exact one. I basically need so I can paint some chips and my front licent bumper plugs that I got for free but ain't rio.
