Little frustrated
I was on my way home today and thought I would stop and grab me a bite to eat from Arby's. There is a truck sitting in the drive thru and I pull up behind him. I look down to pull some money out of the console and when I look up the truck is backing up. I am trying to put it in reverse and honk at the same time but it was no use. He back right into the right front of the car. I got out and walked around fully expecting to see it banged up pretty good. The only real damage was the front bumper cover. There is a very, very small nick on the headlight and I havent decided if it is worth replacing or just charge them to resurface.
I am frustrated becouse I spent several months looking for the S2000 that I wanted. One that was clean and never wrecked with lower milage. Finally found a Honda certified car with everything I wanted and then 30 days later some one backs into it. I have already talked to a couple of body shops. One says that they can repair the front bumper cover so I can keep all the VIN tags intact. The other says that they dont think it can be repaired properly and will need to replace it. I am going to take it to a shop in Tulsa who I really trust and get their opinion. Fortunately it didnt damage the hood or the fender. All he had to do was look in his side mirror and he would have seen me. It was a Osage County work truck and it didnt do ANYTHING to his. It actually looked like this wasnt the first time it had been backed into something.
I havent even had time to detail it yet. I just bought a OEM front lip and spent a couple of hundred in wax and sealer for it. Now I cant do anything for 30 days after it gets fixed and the paint has cured. Now it will be more likely to chip in the front due to the aftermarket paint and I will always be able to tell that it has been repainted. Sorry for the rant, I am just really frustrated and a little dissapointed.

Bodyshops in Tulsa have been covered in several threads.
I am the designated spokesperson to direct you away from Hourglass, absolutely the worst auto repair experience I have ever had.
We use Baron and Hart exclusively now and are very pleased, there are several others that will chime in here with good experiences at other shops.

When I sold my Porsche it was inspected by these guys. They seemed very professional and the work I saw was spectacular.

Not sure where you're located, but I had someone back in to me and had to replace my rear bumper, and Danny Myers (91st and Memorial in Tulsa) did an excellent job matching paint and fitting. You honestly can't tell that it isn't the original bumper. Their staff was also very nice every time I talked to them or called to get a progress report.
