S~Factor

I have never used full synthethics on any of my vehicles until now. I used it on my S and 5000 miles later, I am not impressed at all. I feel like the engine is not getting enough oil until it FULLY warms up. I didn't get that feeling with regular oil. I'm thinking of switching back to my ol' reliable Castrol GTX. But before I do, I figure I give the full synthethic oil another shot. From personal experience, what do you guys recommend. Go regular oil or synthethic?

i think mobil 1, but thats all i use n its been great.

I heard its not a good thing to go from synthetic back to regular oil. It could only be hearsay or from what I've heard, but I've heard of it a lot so just curious if anyone else have heard the same and what your thoughts on it were.

Good old GTX for me.

I'll let Billman weigh in on this one, since he's the one who changes my oil...
but I'm pretty sure he uses Honda synthetic in my car.

i personally swear by Mobil1 myself. It's in my S and Felicia's Odyssey too.

and Mary... Honda oil = Mobil oil (just an FYI)


Fairly certain you shouldn't flip back and forth either. I've heard great things about Royal Purple but IMO it's too $$$

for conventional oil, Castrol GTX all the way!
