I'm thinking about installing a quick release wheel. Ever since I installed the Recaros, it's become a PITA to get out of the car, especially with the HANS on.

The FAQ doesn't have a topic on this, but what is the standard solution to this?

tony at TC hooked me up with a release he has.
It looks allot like the one sold on ebay but cost a bunch more.
anyhow you could give him a call if you want to go the 150ish route or get the ebay one.
I really could not get in and out with the cage and sparco seat if I didn't have a quick release.

I recommend TC Design's also. No play in it at all.

I've got a WorksBell quick release waiting for me to install. Seems to have no play (from what I can tell without it being mounted) and is super easy to take on and off.

the biggest key is not one that does not have play when brand new but one that after seasons of racing still has no to little play.

as I was told by Krazik when I started last year is said and I quote
"you are going to start living your life in 100 dollar increments now"

So I guess Mike that is what I am saying to you.....
you get what you pay for and you have to pay to play!!

What kind of Recaro are you running? I have an SPG and after installing the WorksBell setup, I haven't found ingress/egress to be much easier. But I see where you're coming from with the HANS.

Mike, you can install a short hub also if you want more clearance or if the wheel is too close to you.

I have a works bell short hub and NRG quick release - kept the steering wheel position almost equal to stock with my sparco wheel. so far it has worked flawlesly.
