Freaking wow! People are coming up with some CRAZY s2k's now. I think I gotta start modding again. I subscribed to this thread btw. Can't wait to see it done. Make sure to give it some big fat pipes so we can hear that V8 burble.

Noooooo!!! Damn. Awesome. Just a few words that come to mind. I always wanted to do this. Either that or a Supra to just piss people off. But wow. S2ki being very mature about your approach. I will now be checking into S2ki more and more just to see how this turns out. Hopefully you give a very detailed write up. The motor looks very nice in the bay. Especially between the rails.
Did you have to do any modding to the towers?
For the rear end i had one idea kicking around that i wanted to try whenever i gotten the money to get a s2k. How about the Cobra rear end (or thunderbird same thing). The housing can be ordered new from ford bare for like 600. Also if you where to keep the stock style rear suspension. Dss already has a 5.9 for the cobra and the s2k. Asking them to make some hyrids im sure wouldnt be something to hard. Then you would have a nice wide selection of gear ratios.

some updates and pics;
removed the dash yesterday to cut some more material away and postition the engine further back in the engine bay, also relocated the under dash wire harness grommets for the wire tuck so the harness can be routed into the fender area instead of the engine bay
check out how close the engine mounts are to lining up, one simple bracket and you are done. not too sure on how the s2000 mounts would hold up though. im getting rid of the s2000 mounts and using the clamshell mount adapters with fabbed up pillars that should be here tomorrow.
here is what im working with as far as header space. stll going with a custom made 1 3/4 stepped to a 1 7/8 setup unless someone knows of better.
here are some misc. pics of firewall modifications so far, all being redone due to the engine being pushed back further.
