Not sure if anyone knows if this yep, but here it is. I work for Honda and just got word of it.
SYMPTOM
The MIL is on withPGM-FI DTC P1172( air fuel sensor1) circut out of range, high) and /or P2A00(air fuel sensor[sensor 1] circut range/performance problem)
PROBABLE CAUSE
The air/fuel sensor is damaged by moisture in the exhaust system during engine warm up
Corrective action
Use the HDS to update the ECM/PMC PGM-FI software. Replace the air/fuel sensor
NOTE: The PMG-FI software has been changed to delay A/F sensor heater operation when there is a high probability of moisture on the A/F sensor.

i posted about my cel coming on with only 3000 miles on my s2k when i first got it.. it was for a bad air/fuel sensor.. so i guess its real but only sounds like a tsb so if u dont have cel u dont get new parts
also since mine was replaced late last year.. i dont think they reprogram the ecu

hmmm, is this really a recall, or a tsb? would this throw a CEL? not sure what this means, and how the car would act with this condition....

From the original posters info, it looks like you would have a CEL. MIL and CEL are synonymous. CEL=Check engine light, MIL =Malfunction Indicator Lamp, same thing.

Ok, the air/fuel sensor is similar to an oxygen sensor, except that it tells the computer the exact air/fuel ratio of the exhaust, as opposed to the O2 sensor, which has a much limited range, and doesn't actually tell the computer what the A/F ratio is. What is happening is when the engine warms up, the moisture that has collected in the intake/motor/exhuast can contaminate the A/F sensor and cause it to burn out/malfunction. If your car doesn't have any problems, don't worry about taking it to the dealer. Most likely the problems are related to certain environmental conditions that are not experienced everywhere.
