ok - let's see if this timetable works:

Sofla leaves around 6 am - Lake Worth

Orlando (216 miles) around 9 am [Turkey Lake rest area on Turnpike, just north of I-4 interchange]

Ocala (77 miles) around 10:30 to meet me and Bill and Vyktor and Don H, with a pick up in Gainesville (suggest that the group meet in Ocala with the exception of 1 or 2 cars that continue north to G'ville to pick up gf, then meeting on 75) [McDonalds just east of 75 on S.R. 40]

White Springs (91 miles - just north of 10) to pick up Treedriver - around noon [? where ?]

Cordele (139 miles) to pick up Tally and Navarre group - around 2:30 [? where ?]

Atlanta (142 miles) around 4:30

Robbinsville (167 miles) around 7 pm

Knoxville (73 miles) around 8:30 pm

Hey Chiung!

The plan for the So Fla peeps is to leave on Thursday morning (early) and drive all the way to TN. That way, we have all day Friday to clean up the cars & play on the Dragon. If any of the FL people want to meet up on Thursday, I'm sure we can arrange something.

What was your plan as far as departing FL?

I can meet you south Florida folks at the rest area, just north of the I 10 junction. Just need a time to meet, and I would also suggest we plan to fuel when we get into Georgia. Fuel in Georgia is about $0.20 cheaper then it is in Florida.
Probably would be a good idea to exchange cell#s too.

Sounds good. I'm not sure where the I-10 junction is, but I'll pass this along to DaWorm & Deiger. I assume they're going to be able to better guess on what time is a good meet-up time.

Who else is coming on up with us on Thursday? Willie Gee, will we see your smiling face w/ the Lil Hnda?

I suggest we use two way radios on the way up. And i like J-girls idea of leaving early. The more dragon time the betta.

I 10 crosses I 75 about 50 miles north of Gainsville, near Lake City.

FRS Radios are a good idea too, allready have one

 

Last year, we rolled on out of the Lake Worth service plaza around 6:15am. It takes about another 2.5 hours (if not a bit more) to get up to Orlando, and obviously more time to get to the Gainesville area. My timing may be off, but it may be about 4 hours from our starting point. Leaving at 6:15-ish, that means we'd be getting to the meeting point around 10:15am. Does that sound about right???

Hey, if we're passing the Gainesville area, will Nate want to hook up w/ us????
