Show us your pet!
I just got a new digital camera, and the subject of most of my photos seem to be our dog, Maggie. I thought I would bore y'all with a picture of her engaging in her favorite activity.
We got Maggie, a West Highland Terrier, last year through Westie Rescue. She is about 8 years old, and was given up by her owners due to a confilict with their toddler grandchild.
She has provided much needed therapy during Bea's recovery, and has been a god-send to us.
Do you have a pet, and if so, how about posting a picture and telling us something about it?

He is a snapping turtle and a mean looking one at that - he can (and will if you give him a chance) at least take your finger off. He is NOT a pet and should be left alone.
Theoretically you could approach him from the rear and lift him on either side of his shell to move him -- BUT his rear claws could get you - so if you do this be sure to wear heavy gloves and a thick coat. The suggestion is to pick them up by their tail:

or not at all:

P.S. - I guess a cow was trying to make some sort of statement there.

My pal Annabelle. The picture was taken some years ago, her face is almost entirely gray now. She is still the terror of the field mice though. I was living in the sticks when her mother and she came around. She was about six months old. Mom and daughter are still with me some eleven years later. Annabelle has had two ACL (knee) surgeries, one x-ray revealed a pellet in her leg from where she'd been shot before she found a home. I'd sure like to know her and her Mom's story before they found me.
Ever heard of the BARF diet for dogs? (Bones and raw food) This is Annabelle's version.
