Default Rapid coolant leak near oil filter

Discovered a rapid coolant leak after driving a mile from cold today. This was taken from a frame of a video, you can see coolant dripping from the area circled in red.

I assume I just need to replace the heavy braided hose there? I did a search but couldn't find any threads about leaks from the oil cooler area.

I thought that was the oil pressure bypass.

That is a coolant hose and yes if it's leaking you should replace that.
Bleed your system carefully after, if you are unsure here is a good thread https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/106...-coolant-bleed

Confirmed - it's referred to in the service manual as the "Oil Cooler Bypass Hose" on a component location part on page 10-3. Parts sites refer to it as 19422-PCX-000 "HOSE, OIL COOLER IN", part #1 on this diagram

I've found no other reference to this part in the service manual and very little on this site. I guess it was just bad luck that mine sprang a leak, but very good luck I discovered it after only a mile into a 400 mile round trip. My car is out of commission for now but a $10 replacement from the dealer should have me back in business.

New vs. old. Had to remove the oil filter and go for the hose clamps from above and below.

The old one looks pretty "ballooned" compared to the new. Are you going to replace the other hoses?

Thanks!

I considered it...I lost $40 worth of new coolant to the first one leaking, and the second hose is right next to it and also $10 from the dealer. In the end I figured it was such a rare occurrence (didn't find a single reference to this happening to anybody else) I decided against it.

I always do anytime I touch the cooling system. Call it paranoia.

Definitely bled it. Get one of the Lisle funnel kits, makes bleeding it a breeze.
