Fitted a Hardtop fixing kit today
I bought a hardtop fixing kit off fleabay the other day, and it arrived yesterday. Today I had a go at fitting it. Mechanically no problem, but when it came to the wiring sub-harness, problem! I had bought a kit that had come off an '02 car, mine is '06, I then found out Honda had changed the wiring sub-harness for the face lift models
THe kit came with sub-harness part number 32204-S2A-000, a quick Google shows my '06 requires a 32204-S2A-305. Another Google shows this part has been discontinued by Honda, and it seems they made it out of Unobtainium given the dearth of them available and the price for those that are.
So bodgit is the approach. A quick looks shows both the sub-harness and the loom connector have three connections. The loom, thick black, thick brown, thinner green (with bands). My -000 sub harness has a thick black, thick black+red stripe, and thinner green (with bands). Sounds promising. Logically, earth, screen feed, and changeover relay respectively. Indeed the multimeter shows the green is switched to earth by the contact switch in the bracket.
SO, mash 'em together and see if it works...
The -000 sub-harness...

This is what the -000 harness connector looks like...

And this is the loom connector on my '06...

So, release the clip on the harness connector...

Then release the internal connectors (lift them at the front)...

I gave the connectors a bit of gentle squeeze to make them grip a bit tighter, then note the cable order on the loom connector...

..and insert the harness connectors...

Now test with a multi-meter, switch on the heated rear screen, no live feed at the hard top connector, press teh contact switch on the hardtop bracket, viola! Power now redirected to the hardtop screen.
To make this a semi-permananet job, I needed to fix the harness into the loom socket, time to break out the good old hot-glue gun...

Job done, time for a brew.
Note: It appears there is also an -306 version of this harness, I guess for later than '06 models, I suspect Honda ran out of connectors again and switched to yet another model, I can't see them changing the basic wiring.
