NE - Illusive lakes Cruise - Sunday 18th October *
All of you from the North East, and any visitors.
I've now finished my kitchen, and life is settling down.
It's been a disappointing year for us this year in the North East, and events haven't been planned the way we'd hoped. I hope to see a change in that next year, and as such I'm going to try again to arrange and carry out this lovely route I've planned from NE, over the moors to Windermere, and back past Carlisle and Hartside Cafe. (THIS ROUTE)
Itinerary for the day
1. Meet in Consett centre at this car park between 9.30 and 10AM (Lew if you'd like to come up and stay overnight to save the early drive up, and drive home afterwards that's fine, we've got a nice pub just down the road.)
2. Set off some time around 10AM following the above route.
3. Make a few stops around and about for a couple of group photos... especially while crossing Grasholme reservoir.
4. Stop off somewhere near Windermere/Patterdale/Glenridding for a bite to eat and drink. This should be sometime around 12-12.30
5. Then head back along the route to stop at Hartside for a cuppa, Photo's and respect the view.
6. Final stage back to Consett. We should arrive back around 3-3.30 (plenty of time for Nico to get to work if he needs to)
Times depending on Photo's and Phood.
