But honestly it seems like a s660. I'm fine with a replica of the s660 for us with 1.5-2.0 engine

It definitely has S660 styling elements but a much longer wheelbase, huge side scoops and a totally different roof/rear end treatment. I think this could be the S660 < ????? > NSX car we've been waiting for.

It looks like the new Beat that Honda has been advertising, but bigger. Maybe Honda will make something like an MR2 sports car...

Gas engine in the back, electric motors up front.

Design is intriguing as it looks like the bastard child of the new NSX, R8 and Gallardo...but looks like that don't usually come cheap. This looks like another $75K+ car. I'd like to see Honda's rumored Miata fighter instead...

Base model will be a 2.0T, RWD only, with 6MT. Optional (hybrid) model will be the 2.0T with electric motors up front and the other electrical motor sandwiched between the DCT and the ICE. 300-330 hp in the base car, closer to 400 hp in the hybrid car. Allegedly green-lighted for full production but still about two years away from being in a showroom.

This is the baby NSX, estimated base price of about $55K with the hybrid running to high $70K or low $80K. In the big scheme, it's the "S2000 replacement" in terms of where it fits on the sportscar hierarchy.

However, there are plans for a lesser model (different design) that is very lightweight (under 2300 lbs) with a fairly small engine (1.0T) with hybrid setup (still RWD only) to push out about 220 hp in the highest trim level. That would be more like an S2000 in terms of being fairly low-weight, moderately powered and still quite quick.

Sounds like a cheaper Cayman--which is a good thing! Hope the design gets a bit more refined though.

Oh and i'm looking forward to Honda's Miata fighter purely to see what swap options Honda Hot Rodders can come up with!

This would actually make me hold off a bit on my Cayman/Boxster plan if they made official announcements and had a price range involved. My plan was to start looking around January 2017 for a Porsche, but I'd really like to see what Honda can do.
