Default Vortech T trim with Tial Q

I know that several people have wanted to try running a Tial BOV on their aftercoolers over the years. I've always suggested the greddy to tial adapter from ATP.

After upgrading to a T trim I've been hearing compressor surge at higher RPMs and low loads, and I think at WOT shifts also, but it's hard to hear with the exhaust.

I finally bought the same adapter from NYPPD just because they're on the east coast also and I wanted to get it quick. Threw the BOV with a supercharger spring in it and took it for a quick test drive. Here's a video:

So far I cannot hear any surge, but I have only taken it to ~10psi. Can report later on that if anybody is interested. BOV is muuuch louder than the vortech one!

This thing is LOUD! Will have to try making a vid going WOT, maybe even some time soon at 20-ish PSI

This is a known issue with Tial Q on supercharger. A lot of people get annoyed with it quickly. If you like it then great, if not then maybe qrj might be less noisy.

Yup, I knew it would be louder and was expecting this going in, but just didn't think it would be THIS loud when cruising, lol. Since I'm running a T trim and planning on upping the boost to 20-22psi I'll take all the air flow it'll be able to move; may end up having to increase the opening to 50mm too...

Hey mate, any update with your ride?

How is the Tial going at high boost? Sound any different?

I am installed a Vortech Kit with a brand new Ti blower soon and im trying to work out what BOV sounds best. Your opinion?
Im after a loud short sharp sound, perhaps that is only possible with Turbo I'm thinking.

Hey Mark,

It doesn't really sound any different at ~24psi than it did at 14. Really f@#king loud, but as long as it vents all the excess air, I'm willing to deal with it. If you want a BOV that attracts a lot of attention then this is it for sure, at least with a T trim; perhaps a standard vortech blower would be quieter since they move less air... I'm only using it because it has eliminated any surge I had. It's really most annoying at part throttle because it's open till -3psi.

Is that was that noise is? It sounds like it's constantly blowing air at under low revs, I thought it was traffic noise or something?

My Ti trim looks awesome, brand new never used, I am currently ordering brand new vortech brackets and getting them anodised in alloy colour. I hate it how the standard Vortech black anodised brackets become a brown over time it looks shit IMO.

I'm installing ID1300 injectors, Full Blown fuel rail, Walbro 450 fuel pump, Haltech Premium pro, Haltech Flex fuel sensor, AEM Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge + matching AEM Boost gauge, Full Blown Intake Manifold, Skunk2 74MM Throttle Body, custom 8-rib pulleys to achieve 23-25psi, J-s racing header, 60mm test pipe, new Tanabe Medalion twin exhaust, SOS bigger water/air heat exchanger, bigger bosch water pump for the aftercooler (the Vortech one is soooo small!), all I need to complete everything is to sort out my aftercooler and BOV.

Sorry for Hyjacking, am I excited? yes I am.lol
