Clutch trouble
Swapped my OEM clutch for an RPC stage 1 clutch and car has developed what I think is clutch buzz. I get a bad buzzing noise from the transmission tunnel at around 2.5k - 4k rpm. But only on deceleration and it goes away when I touch the accelerator (or appears to). Ive heard its a common problem but can't find a definite solution.

I am under the impression, from read around the subject, that the buzzing is caused by the friction disc.
If you wanted to save some money, I would recommend purchasing an OEM friction disc, installing OEM disc, binning RPC disc.
The OEM disc is perfect for NA and can hold enough hp and tq to get you into trouble.

Both of mine have/had this "feature" installed. The 02 was on its original clutch and did it. The 01 that I have now is on its first replacement, an OEM again, and does it too.
It's a sports car. They do that.
Buy a subwoofer, some new speakers and an obscenely powerful amp.

I have the same issue. I went with the rpc stage one clutch and lightened flywheel.
If i change the friction plate can i still use the same rpc flywheel or should i go back to the original?
Also is the oem friction plate compatible with the rest of the rpc stuff?
Sorry to resurrect an old thread but that noise is driving me mad.
Car is a my99 and it didn't make that awful buzzing noise before.
Thanks in advance
