Default Gorgeous 2003 S2000 in Pearlescent Yellow

For Sale –My pride and joy Honda S2000 in beautiful pearlescent yellow! - £SOLD

I have owned this car since February 2007 when it had a mere 26900 miles on the clock (now 91400 miles).

Since then, we have had many adventures and she has never let me down (save for a replacement windscreen washer pump and coil pack).

I have lavished care and attention on her, driven her to Europe and (with the help of the UK S2000 owners club) have come to understand the engineering that was originally put into this superb car.

It has become time to find her a new home as I move on to Aston Martin ownership. I am in no hurry to see her go, and would prefer someone to buy her whom is enthusiastic about the car.

The pearlescent colour (Y52P) is uncommon for these cars and it gets tons of positive reactions from people whom see it, it is not one of those dull, dreary silver/grey/black/white boxes you see 99% of people in these days. Prepare to be amazed as people actually let you out of junctions!

I have made several sympathetic modifications which I feel improve both the look and drivability of the car. And the sale will come with many extras that I will no longer need when she is gone.

So the car:
• 2003 Honda S2000 GT – (2.0L - 240bhp)
• 91400 miles
• Pearlescent Yellow paintwork (Honda code Y52P)
• Removable Hardtop
• 17” Honda alloy wheels (from a 2008 model)
• 4x Yokohama AD08 Tyres all with plenty of tread
• Electric Windows
• Electric vinyl Soft top (no tears)
• Leather Recaro seats (no tears)
• Alpine IDA-X305 Stereo (& dash control interface)
• Alpine KTP-445 Amplifier
• Focal Midrange, Tweeters & crossovers (fitted with MDF spacers)
• Dynamat covering both doors.
• Muz Mats with yellow piping
• Cusco Master Brake cylinder brace
• Greddy SE dual exhaust (with blue tips)
• Ferodo DS2500 brake pads all round
• ATE Super Blue Dot 4 racing brake fluid
• Wilwood stainless steel braided brake lines
• Castrol Edge 5w-40 engine oil
• Billman’s modified TCT
• Spoon sports Titanium shift knob.

The Extras:
• Honda hardtop stand & cover
• 4x original 16” alloys with PROPER Kuhmo winter tyres (2x I-Zen KW17 & 2x I-Zen KW27)
• Berk 70mm High Flow Cat
• Spare Throttle Body
• New Map sensor
• Original factory radio & speakers
• K&N Air Filter (Needs a clean/ Cleaner included)
• Original exhaust (not shown)
• Manuals
• Spare battery
• 2x Original S2000 brochures

Anyone familiar with these cars will know about issues discovered through the owners club. With that in mind, here is a list of (imho essential) work already carried out:

• Suspension bolts removed & greased (Work done by Chris @ Centre Of Gravity in 2008)
• Alignment & Geometry reset to Japanese development settings for fast road driving (Chris @ Centre Of Gravity 2008) – (N.B: This transformed the car!)
• Sealant applied to air gap under boot lining to stop water ingress into boot.
• Billman modified TCT fitted to stop TCT rattle.
• Engine oil changed to Fully Synthetic Castrol Edge 5w-40
• Diff oil changed to Motul
• Gearbox oil changed to Redline
• Drivers seat bolster repaired (common fault)
• Both rear calipers refurbed by http://www.brake-caliper-painting.com/

I like to keep my car in good condition so it is regularly washed and at least once a year has been clay barred & waxed (Zymol Japon) to ensure the longevity of the paintwork. It has also been a good opportunity to check for any signs of corrosion. The soft top has been protected from the ‘usual’ signs of wear by application of some felt strips which have protected the top from the known ‘wear’ issue.

The leather on the interior has been regularly treated with Gliptone (both cleaner & fed), the only real sign of wear and tear is some marks on the steering wheel and drivers seat, although there are no rips.

The car has NEVER been tracked, nor thrashed. I have tried to treat it as sympathetically as you might treat a TVR and waited for everything to warm up before spirited driving. It has never missed a beat or failed to start.

I have done most of the work myself as an enthusiast so the car comes with Service History & receipts. It really needs to be seen and heard to appreciate it. Obviously I will service and MOT the car for the next 12 months prior to a new owner taking her.

NO, I am NOT interested in parting out.

Test drives will be acceptable ONLY if you can prove you are ensured fully comprehensively and you can show a deposit of at least £1000 on arrival. I don’t give passenger joyrides so serious buyers only please!

Cracking looking car

First dips on the exhaust if you end up parting out.

IF i part out

Thanks. As i've been asked:

1) LOADS of tread left on the AD08's. Fronts have covered <4000 miles and Rears <1000.
2) The Kuhmo winter tyres on the spare wheels are also in practically brand new condition with similar depth tread to the AD08's.
3) The arches are in great nick. There is a very small bubble on the NSR arch which wouldn't be hard to put right
4) The TCT rattle is a common problem on these cars. There is a DIY fix (https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/808...hl__tct+rattle) , or you can buy a fixed unit from various manufacturers. Just search for TCT rattle
5) The vinyl roof doesn't leak, and ive been fastidious in the use of the Honda Shin Etsu grease when cleaning so the rubbers are in great shape.
6) Car is fully HPI clear. I purchased the car for cash in 2007 and have receipts to prove.
