Thanks for the garage recommendation, I'm only about a 20 minute drive from there and I'm looking to get a service done in January. Think I'll give this fella a go

Sorry I was supposed to upload these a couple of weeks ago but work got in the middle!
See some pics from Jose's garage here:
https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/gallery/a...vice-at-joses/

Regarding charges:
For the normal 63k Honda service which is supposed to last 1h and 20 minutes Jose told me he would have charged me just 60 quid for his work.
Careful, service parts excluded! So for example if you can find some good 4l oil at 28 pounds each + a honda oil filter from cox parts at 10.5
and you don't need to change your sparkies then you can imagine you can end up paying (let's say you needed 2x 4l oil):
56 for oil + 10.5 for oil filter + 60 for work = 126.5 in total!

That's less than half of what Honda will charge you (I've read that Honda will charge 260-280 for this service!)

Nevertheless, as you can see from the pictures, I've spent pretty much the whole day there with Jose. We checked pretty much EVERYTHING in a space of 5 hours.
Ended up paying 200 in total which is pretty much a steal if you think that we also changed the O2 sensor as well & rear diff oil kinda out of the normal 63k service.

All work was done OUT OF LOVE, and after chatting to Jose for a while I realised that he is NOT interested to have new customers coming in, as he is extremely busy anyway!
I've told him that I've written an article on s2ki and that another S which is close by (firemonkey) was keen for a service in January and then he was okay..

If it is an s2000 he will do it! TOP MAN! Firemonkey I'll pm you his mobile number as well.

If i was a mechanic i would love to work an S2000. Every job is straight forward apart from major items like clutch and chain replacement. Everything else is easy. Alot easier than other cars i have worked on.

Glad you got it all serviced and sorted.

That's no different to what I recently paid Honda to do a similar service, (it was £126.30) and I got a free MOT too.

(The service part was £77, and the rest was oil, drain plug and filter).

If you look on Honda's website, you can see they have fixed price servicing and this service is £155. My dealer gives an S2KUK discount and includes the free MOT.
