Default Floppy's Stunning S2000

EDIT: Please read the advert fully and if you intend to view the car then I need 24-48hrs notice. I do also expect you to turn up or let me know you won't be able to make it in advance of the agreed viewing time, rather than letting me know hours after the time has passed. These expectations are common respect and decency in my opinion.

- I will not deal with anyone via text unless you have phoned me first to discuss any questions you have about the car.
- If your intention is to view others as well please be transparent about this.
- I have had a number of people say they are coming to view the car, I prepare it and bring it out of winter storage (having also re-taxed it to do so!) and then no one has turned up.
- I will not give you my postcode unless you have spoken to me and I feel you are genuinely interested.
- I run my own business. I am a busy person. I am fully prepared to give you as much time as you need and want to thoroughly look over the car, test drive it if you are genuinely interested and ask me any questions you wish. However, I do not expect to have my time wasted by arranging a time and then not turning up.
- This is a private sale and not a motor trade sale. This is my personal car and has been since May 2011.
ADVERT:

BASED NEAR KETTERING, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE.

I've finally decided I am selling up!

Its time to sell my beloved S2000 as I've had S2000's for almost 7 years now and as much as I love it I fancy a change for something with a Stuttgart badge. The car has been meticulously rebuilt literally from the ground up to a very high standard.

Details:
MY02 (02) reg.
3 keys (2 black keys, one with refurbished fob and 1 green key).
8 months MOT.
76,000 miles on the clock.
Serviced with new diff oil, gearbox oil, spark plugs and valve clearance adjustment approx 9k miles ago.
Due an oil service but there is potential to arrange that as part of the deal.
Ferodo DS2500's front and rear and 4 refurbished brake calipers with an ATE Super Blue fluid bleed. (Completed Sept 14).
Lots of service stamps but recent services have been done by myself.
New clutch approx. 9k miles ago.
Clutch fluid replaced with ATE Super Blue (Sept 14).
Stacks of reciepts (tea and biscuits supplied while you go through them!).
Dry stored last winter and the car has only done approx 9,000 miles in the last 2 years due to it being a second car.

Modifications:

Wheels:
WORK Emotion XD9 alloy wheels finished in Hyper Silver Powdercoat – refurbished in April 2014.
Specs are: F: 18x8+35 (225/35/18) R: 18x9+38 (255/35/18).
Falken FK452 tyres on the front with good tread although the very inside 10mm of the shoulder is getting low. Brand new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's on the rears with less than 2000 miles on them.
These wheels come in at over £500 each without tyres on Evasive Motorsport's website.
Genuine WORK centre caps replaced last year at the cost of £35 each from the US.

Handling:
BC Racing BR-Series coilovers, 32 damping adjustments, fully ride height adjustable, 10/10kg spring rates.
T1R front steering rack spacers.
Hardrace rear toe arms.
J’s Racing driveshaft spacers.
Spoon front lower X brace.
Beaks rear tie bar.
Fully Polybushed suspension arms.
MY00 front and rear anti roll bars with Polybushed collars.
Geo completed by Wheels in Motion less than 4000 miles ago (Will have to check exact mileage and date but think it was July 2014).

Performance:
GReddy/GoTuning Spectrum Elite Dual cat-back exhaust system (one of only 2 I am aware of in the UK on an S2000).
Japspeed decat pipe with CEL fix extender.
APEXi VAFCII VTEC AFR controller & Boomslang Harness (the harness allows fitting without the wiring loom being cut). Car was dyno'd and tuned by Romain Levesque (See below re: rolling road).
Mugen replica carbon fibre intake.
S2X carbon fibre intake elbow.
Recent Rolling Road evidence of 230hp at the fly, completed in Aug 2014 by Romain Levesque on a Dyno Dynamics machine. The VTEC cam profile cross over point is now set to 4700rpm as it gave the optimal map but this can be changed to suit and is easy enough to do (demo can be provided upon viewing).

Brakes:
ATE Super Blue Fluid.
Black Diamond grooved disks.
Ferodo DS2500 front and rear pads with less than 2000 miles on them.
TEGIWA brake master cylinder brace.
Fully Refurbished Calipers completed by Bigg Red during Sept/Oct 2014 with less than 2000 miles use since being fitted.

Cosmetics:
Custom Black Paint (full respray in April 2013).
Smoothed OEM front bumper with OEM front lip - I have fitted the H badge back on the bonnet recently but that is only stuck on not drilled and is finished in satin black.
Veilside V1 replica rear boot spoiler.
JDM rear bumper.
Rolled and flared front and rear arches.
TarmacSportz black side diffusers.
Password JDM Battery Stay.
Red/Black leather seats from an MY05.
Red/black door cards with tweeters.
Red JDM 4 piece floor mats (the ones in the traders section at a price of £200!).
Modifry dashboard mount and iPhone 5/5S holder.
Shunk2 Gearknob.
Facelift Radio Door.
Lizard Skin soft top bar covers.
Custom satin black rocker cover with polished coil pack cover.
Sokie Tech carbon fibre effect gas bonnet dampers.
Carbon fibre cooling pannel.
Satin black honda bonnet 'H' (stuck on so it is still easily removable rather than drilled through the smoothed bumper!).
Polished engine bay cross member cover.
Horn upgrade to a Ring Nautilus compact.

All bodywork has been professionally done and sealed by R Lennon Vehicle Body Repairs and Coachworks, Walgrave, Northampton.
Bodywork completed consists of:

All 4 arches rolled and sealed.
Arch liner trimmed.
Front bumper smoothed to remove washer jets, H badge and all holes for number plate mountings.
Front bumper flared at the outer edges to ensure it sits flush to the rolled front wings for a complete OEM look.
OEM front lip painting and fitting.
Rear spoiler painting and fitting.
Bumper tab relocation on the rear.
JDM bumper modification and fitting.
Boot lid welded to remove holes from the H badge
Aerial deleted and welded (Car has an internal aerial)
Full respray
I don't have the receipt for this but the cost would be in the region of £5000 for all of the above work. You are welcome to give Ray a call to discuss it with him if you are interested in buying the car.

Stereo:
Pioneer DEH-80PRS with burr brown built in amplifier/DAC.
Uprated speaker cables with 10amp gauge to all speakers.
Alpine Type-R component door speakers and tweeters (model SPR-60CS).
OEM headrest speakers.
Tuned with a custom EQ by a musician (not my duff ears).

Not quite so good bits:
Engine transplant completed at 67k miles due to previous owner hydrolocking it.
Replacement engine came out of my MY00 which was written off in March 2012 with 91k on it.
Engine has now done 99k miles. Both service books are present to document this change and the engine change is on the DVLA V5 record.
A few light scratches on the rear passenger ¼ just between the door shut the wheel arch where I caught a traffic cone.
Front bumper has a fair bit of stone rash on it now which has been filled in very carefully with a touch up needle but as I'm so fussy I would probably want it resprayed in the spring time.
The roof has just started to tear in the usual place at the bottom corner next to the passenger side window. The seals have also started to hold some water but I have a spare set I am happy to include with the sale.

The car has been meticulously worked on by myself or one of my best friends who is a mechanic for Soul Garages/Desmond Smail Olney and has lots of experience on specialist cars from Ferraris and Astons to Imprezas, so I know exactly what work has been done and know it is to a high standard (please feel free to google and you'll see the sort of cars he works on!). No expense has been spared and if you are not convinced by this with my for sale advert please read my signature link on my build thread for full details of everything I have done.

The images of the machine polishing were taken last month when I spent 2 full days doing the entire car. It is now sealed and coated with 2 coats of Poorboys Black Hole, 2 coats of Poorboys EXP and 2 coats of DoDo Juice Supernatural. The wheels were also fully sealed with Poorboys Wheel Sealant and were removed from the car to do this, as pictured below.

The car has won the 'Most Clean and Shiny' award at the London Ace Cafe S2000 Owners Meet May 2014 and also 'Best Overall Car of 2014' London Ace Cafe S2000 Owners Meet in August.

If I put the car back to standard and sold the modifications or fully parted it out it would easily total £10,000 so I am asking £8500 (private plate S2 KLV included in the sale).

Please do not send me ANY PM’s at all with questions about buying parts off me, I will ignore these and delete them as I am trying to sell the car complete for now.

If you are a serious buyer I would expect a 10% cash deposit to secure the vehicle, which should be made available on test drive. No proof of fully comprehensive insurance cover = no test drive although I am happy to take you out in it.

Please call me on 07903867943 if you have read the whole advert, are genuinely interested and have any questions or would like to arrange a viewing.

I’ve said enough for now so I will let the pictures speak for themselves:

EDIT: I took this shot of the car on Sunday 30/11/14 and will upload a few more as I edit them this week.

Here are some pictures of the during and after stages of the machine polish I completed in Sept 14. Look at the bonnet left (finished) to right (not yet done).

As with any black car it will always be worse for showing swirl marks etc. hence the reason for doing the machine polish. Even a freshly resprayed car will need machine polishing. Please feel free to speak to some detailers with experience to discuss this if you would like a professional opinion.

Lee Mitchell of Extreme Detailing in Chesham would be a good place to start if you don't know anyone.

If it wasn't for the fact I'm rebuilding my crashed car, I'd be all over this. Beautiful car and GLWTS.

Just a 987 3.2 or 3.4 S

Its not quite the 964 that I've been hankering after for a while but I still fancy a change.

I'm not 100% sure what you mean John. Do you mean why sell my car for something you consider inferior?

Yes Alex In my humble opinion its a backwards step .

I Know quite a few boxter owners who the sing the praises of boxter ownership !!!

All have sold up and moved on .

However , each to their own GLWTS.
