● Tewin Classic Car Show - Sunday 17th August *
Last year's programme:
If you live near Tewin, which is off the A1(M) by Welwyn Garden City, this is an event not to be missed. Unlike most classic car shows this one has a wonderful village atmosphere with a number of interesting stalls and a mouth-watering hog roast.
This year there will also be an S2000 on display – mine!
If you are interested and you want more information, please post up.

A quick reminder that the Tewin Classic Car Show takes place this coming Sunday afternoon. The location is Upper Green, Tewin, AL6 0LY.
My car is all polished up and ready to go, but the weather forecast does not look too good!

Once again Tewin put on a very special show. They have my admiration as to how a small Hertfordshire village can put on an event with c400 cars on display, and huge crowds coming to view, with such excellent organisation and stewarding. They even had a steward on the way out thanking everyone for bringing their car for display!
It had drizzled with rain in the morning, but it stopped and I dried the hood and lowered it, as I wanted to arrive 'hood down'. As I was being booked in it started to rain, and I think the steward was impressed with the speed with which the hood went up. As I parked up the heavens opened, and the only people I could see were the poor stewards being soaked to the skin. Suddenly, the rain stopped, and in an instance the field was full of people. The rest of the afternoon was bright sunshine, which accounted for the large turnout of viewers.
My car attracted quite a bit of interest, with two people thinking of buying one, and a gentleman whose wife has had one for four years saying that she found the back end a bit twitchy. They all went away with my best words of wisdom, and Club cards with the suggestion that they logged on to the forum!
I'm glad t say that the pig roast was up to its usual standard.
As you would expect, there was a wide variety of cars on display, including A/Ms (that's almost a gratuitous picture for mikey k!)
and, of course, Porkers.
The stall were also doing good business.
Sadly no S2000s!
All in all. a very enjoyable afternoon.
