FS: Amuse R1 Dual Titanium Exhaust
Here for sale is my Amuse exhaust.
I have had it for about 3 years but it has not been used for the last year or so as I got an ASM 70mm single and it has been stored in my loft. Before that, it didn't do that many miles because I work at sea and the car is only used when I am home which is approximately 3 months of the year, so as you can imagine, my mileage a year is less than 3000!
I did have a problem with the exhaust which was that the midbox kept on cracking, this is a common problem with this type of exhaust and is well documented on the forum. I got fed up with continuously having to find a titanium welder and the titanium in the midbox was pretty fatigued so I just got rid of it and replaced it with a straight bit of high quality titanium pipe. This didn't really affect the exhaust tone very much because the midbox by this point was gutted anyway of packing before I got it so it was fairly straight through from the start! So all in all, the exhaust is now at a stage where you could use it everyday and not have any problems at all with it.
A thread is here with more details to the modification:- https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/953...l-mid-box-fix/
Here are some photos of the exhaust:-
As you can see, the right hand can is missing a hanger, but I can assure you the exhaust is so stiff and so light, you don't need it.
The exhaust sounds amazing, it is quite quiet at low revs but unleashes fury in VTEC. It doesn't drone from what I can remember due to the Helmholtz resonator and all in all is a very high quality exhaust with all the niggles ironed out.
I'm after £600 ono
I'm located in Reading, if you would like to try before you buy, I have no issue with this. I can fit it to my car and take you out.
Thanks for looking!
Graham
